Squan AYF is excited to offer Flag Football, Tackle Football, and Cheerleading for all students within the Manasquan High School sending districts for the Fall 2026 season.

Our teams compete in the Jersey Shore AYF League against local towns throughout Monmouth, Ocean, and Middlesex Counties. Practices are scheduled to begin on Monday, July 27, 2026, and the season will run through late October.

Flag Football

Our Flag program introduces the fundamentals of football in a fun, non-contact environment. Players must be at least 5 years old by June 30, 2026. Open to children born between July 1, 2019 and June 30, 2021.

Tackle Football

AYF Tackle teams are organized by birthdate to ensure fair competition, player safety, and developmental alignment. Please use the chart below to determine your athlete's division for the 2026 season:

  • 7U - birthdates 7/1/2018 thru 6/30/2019

  • 8U - birthdates 7/1/2017 thru 6/30/2018

  • 9U - birthdates 7/1/2016 thru 6/30/2017

  • 10U - birthdates 7/1/2015 thru 6/30/2016

  • 11U - birthdates 7/1/2014 thru 6/30/2015

  • 12U - birthdates 7/1/2013 thru 6/30/2014

  • 14U - birthdates 7/1/2011 thru 6/30/2013

Tackle Registration Value & Cost

We are committed to providing a premier, safety-first experience while keeping football accessible for our families. As shown in the graphic below, the actual cost to field a single player is $624. Through local sponsorships and fundraising, we are able to bridge this gap, ensuring every athlete receives over $625 in direct value.

Cheer

Squan AYF Cheer provides athletes the opportunity to develop teamwork, coordination, and spirit while supporting our football teams. Teams are organized by age and finalized based on the total number of registrants. Our program is designed to provide an engaging and developmentally appropriate experience for all skill levels, from beginners to experienced cheerleaders.
