Manasquan Youth Football (Squan AYF) is excited to be offering Competitive Tackle Football and competitive Flag Football, for all students within the Manasquan High School sending districts for the Fall of 2024 .
Flag Football is ONLY for 5 & 6 year old’s and Tackle Football is ages 7 - 14. The teams will compete in the Jersey Shore AYF league against other local towns mostly within the Monmouth / Ocean / Middlesex County areas.
Practices will start Monday, July 22, 2024 and the season will run until roughly the end of October 2024. July & August practices will be on weekdays (4x per week) in the evening and games will be played on Saturday or Sundays. September & October, evening practices (2-3x per week). Flag practices are generally one 1- hour practice per week with 1 game per week.
It should be noted that the exact practice schedule will be worked out with each individual coach / team and the games will be subject to the times / dates provided by the Jersey Shore AYF League. The practices are dependent on weather as well as the summer heat.
Flag Football teams are limited to the following teams / ages:
5U birthdates 8/1/2018 thru 7/31/2019
6U birthdates 8/1/2017 thru 7/31/2018
We anticipate we will have 2 teams this year (this may change due to the amount of registrants)
Tackle Football will consist of 4 teams / age categories:
8U - birthdates 8/1/2015 thru 7/31/2017
10U - birthdates 8/1/2013 thru 7/31/2015
12U - birthdates 8/1/2011 thru 7/31/2013
14U - birthdates 8/1/2009 thru 7/31/2011
Teams may split into individual age groups depending on the number of players that register
